Updated: Apr 18, 2019
Happy 4th of July, everyone!
The fourth is finally upon us and there are multiple entertaining ways to celebrate! One way we know how to ring in the holiday season is by hosting a cocktail party. We are here to provide you with four sure-fire(works) ways to ensure your party is the most festive and fun!
1. Create Colorful Cocktails!
One of the most fun components of planning a cocktail party is creating themed drinks. With the Fourth of July holding a red, white, and blue theme that should make the brainstorming process a little easier. Start with something easy like a fun blue martini with a white sugar rim. Throw a red umbrella in the glass and you’ve already created an all-American classic. For more of a creative challenge, try a frozen patriotic sangria. Below is the link for this recipe! Remember, when creating colorful cocktails to always think outside the box! Anything from star shaped ice-cubes to American flag cocktail umbrellas always add value to your drinks!
2. Freedom Foods!
Similar to our cocktail tip, do not be afraid to get creative with your cocktail foods! Again, there are multiple ways to incorporate the red, white, and blue theme that would knock our founding fathers on their feet! Below is a link to one our favorite treats: A Triple Layer Angel Food Cake.
3. Festive Furnishes!
When planning any type of party, attention to detail in décor is most important. Usually, the smaller details are going to be what people notice first. If you have ever been to a Fourth of July party I am sure you have seen a lot of flags, banners, and holiday themed plates. So, how can you step it up? Go the extra mile! Mentioned earlier, use a star shaped ice cube tray for all drinks. This provides a fun little pop for your guests. When decorating use red, white, and blue. Yet, be sure to check that all the colors are the same shade. Mixing color shades can be harsh on the eyes upon impact. And, don’t be afraid to go big. Here is a link on how to create stars in your own backyard.
4. American Anthems
Music sets the mood for any party. Personalize yours by creating your own Spotify playlist with classic American anthems that are loved by everyone. Adding a mix of oldies and modern pop allows the music to reach every demographic. Check out this list below of a few of our favorites:
Party In The USA by Miley Cyrus
God Bless The USA by Lee Greenwood
American Saturday night by Brad Paisley
Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison
In The Summertime by Mungo Jerry
We hope that you all have a fun and relaxing Fourth of July!
