How can I see your event centers?

How do your venue rental fees work?

Our venue fees operate on a sliding scale based on location, and the preferred date.

How does one reserve a date?

In order to reserve a location and specific date and time, we require a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit. The non-refundable deposit does go towards the overall cost of your event. The balance is due 30 days prior to your event.

Can I bring my own food or beverages?

All renters are allowed to choose their own catering and bar service. All off-site vendors must be pre-approved by True Southern Events management team.

Do you supply the event staff and what role do they play?

True Southern Events will have a venue director on site. This person holds no responsibility for your event. The responsibilities for this is to oversee any issues venue related.

How long do we have the event space for?

All contracts are for full-day rentals. Full-day means 9 am - 11:00 pm. If an alternative time frame or extended time is needed, we will be glad to consider for you.

Do we need to hire a wedding planner or event coordinator?

True Southern Events LLC does not require our clients to hire a planner or coordinator. We do however, require a designated contact person. Preferably we would like it be a professional coordinator.

Where can I have my ceremony?

We have many beautiful spots our clients can choose from for their wedding ceremony, on the porch of The Plantation House, at Taylors Garden, under the canopy of trees, or at Bootleggers Barn.

When is the rehearsal?

Your rehearsal will be at a prearranged date and time prior to your wedding.

Do you have rooms for the Bride and Groom to get ready in?

Our Plantation House venue has an entire upstairs of very spacious bridal suites. There are two suites and even a brunch suite with plenty of room to enjoy time with your ladies before the day gets busy. For the grooms we have an incredible grooms suite that is fully suited with a wet bar and smart tv to catch your favorite sporting events as you prepare for your big day.

Can we decorate how we choose?

Of course! This is your special event. However, we do have some limitations: paper confetti, glitter, unprotected candles, silk flower petals, and sand are strictly prohibited. Hay and birdseed are permitted outdoors but not indoors. We ask that you respect the walls and furniture and abstain from use of nails, screws, or staples. Your are welcome to use candles that have at least three inches of side glass coverage above the flame.

Do you provide chairs, tables, and linens for your venues?

Some of our properties include furniture. Please ask your sales representative about what specifically comes with the venue. The rental fee at Rocky River Plantation always includes tables and chairs for 100 person guest count. Additional furniture is available for rent through our sales manager.

May I drop items off the day before my wedding?

This is not permitted; True Southern Events LLC cannot be held responsible for items left in any of the venues. All items are to arrive when you or your vendors arrive at the start of your rental time frame per your contract & are to be taken off the property when your event comes to an end.

What can be tossed in the air for the Bride and Groom's Departure?

Bird seed, organic flower petals, wedding wands, and bubbles are permissible options. We prohibit paper confetti, rice, and silk flower petals.

Are fireworks allowed?

Fireworks are not permitted due to safety risks.

May we take bridal pictures prior to our event?

We would be honored to be the backdrop for your bridal photos. We ask that you schedule your photo shoot with our facility's director so your shoot does not conflict with any events. Please confirm availability 5 days prior to your photo shoot. If you are not an already booked bride - there is a $75.00 sitting fee for use of the property for bridal portraits.

What about parking?

We have ample parking at each of our venues for your event.

What is your smoking policy?

Our venues are 100% SMOKE FREE. Smoking is not allowed inside or anywhere on the properties. A smoking fine of $250 will be charged if any evidence of smoking is discovered. This policy will be strictly enforced.
